At CopyHero, we treat your personal and financial data with the same rigorous discipline and uncompromising security that we apply to our trading roster. Trust, transparency, and protection are the foundations of our service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle your information when you use the CopyHero platform.

Information We Collect

To provide you with seamless, automated copytrading, we collect the following types of information:

Account Information Name, email address, secure password, and contact details provided during registration.
Financial & Trading Data Information required to connect your preferred brokerage account via secure API, including account balances, trade history, risk parameters, and active copytrading connections.
Note We do not hold your capital directly; we only route trade signals to your connected broker.
Payment Information Billing details securely processed through our third-party payment gateways for subscription purposes. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Technical & Usage Data IP address, browser type, device information, and platform interaction logs to ensure security and optimize platform performance.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to deliver and improve the premium service you expect from CopyHero.

Execute and manage automated copytrading between your account and selected traders.
Verify your identity, authenticate your account, and prevent unauthorised access.
Process subscription payments and manage billing through our payment partners.
Monitor platform integrity, detect fraud, and maintain system security.
Send you service notifications, performance summaries, and account updates.
Analyse usage patterns to improve platform features, reliability, and user experience.
Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing & Disclosure

CopyHero does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Brokerage Integrations Trade signals are shared with your connected broker to execute copytrading instructions on your behalf.
Payment Processors Billing data is shared with our third-party payment gateway solely for subscription processing.
Service Providers We engage trusted technical partners under strict data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of CopyHero and its users.

Data Security

We apply institutional-grade security measures to protect your information, including end-to-end encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for stored sensitive data, and regular independent security audits.

All brokerage connections are made via read/execute API only — we are structurally unable to initiate withdrawals or transfers from your account.

Note While we implement robust protections, no system can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Upon account closure, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, except where legal, regulatory, or financial compliance requires longer retention.

Trade history and financial records may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with applicable financial regulations.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Erasure — Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
